Four new streaming series are scheduled for premiere in February 2024, bringing Marvel and Star Wars back to the forefront of Disney+.
Disney’s two most popular brands have a rather light year ahead of them on the big screen: Deadpool 3 is the lone Marvel Studios film and there won’t be any Star Wars movies in 2024.
With the January 8 release of Echo on Disney+ and Hulu, Marvel debuted its first new streaming series of the year. This year, there are also a few Star Wars programmes that are spread out.
Marvel and Star Wars Releases for February 2024 On Disney+
Four new Marvel and Star Wars series are confirmed to launch on Disney+ in February 2024, according to an official press statement.
Marvel’s Marvel Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur Season 2
Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, which debuted on Disney Channel in 2023, has shifted to an exclusive Disney+ distribution for its second season. On Saturday, February 3, all 14 episodes of the season will be published simultaneously.
The programme follows 13-year-old genius Lunella Lafayette as she travels through New York City, opening a doorway and welcoming a dinosaur into her realm. After that, she allies up with the T-Rex and adopts the persona of a superhero.
Alfre Woodard, Fred Tatasciore, and Diamond White all provide their voices to the programme. Additionally, it featured Laurence Fishburne repeating his Bill Foster role from Ant-Man and the Wasp and Cobie Smulders playing her MCU character Maria Hill.
Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends (Season 3) – New Episodes
Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends debuted on Disney Junior in August 2021 and will premiere on Disney+ sometime in February 2024 for a third season.
With Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales as its core cast, the show centres on a trio of Spider-Men and follows the wall-crawlers as they battle legendary web-slinger villains including Rhino, Doc Ock, the Green Goblin, and Electro. In supporting roles, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Panther, Ant-Man, and other Marvel characters join the amiable neighbourhood heroes.
Alkaio Thiele (Spider-Man), Jakari Fraser (Miles Morales), and Audrey Bennett (Gwen Stacy) are among the voice actors contributing to the series, with renowned voice actor Dee Bradley Baker playing other supporting roles.
Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures
According to the official Star Wars website, the final batch of Season 1 episodes of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures will premiere on February 14 following its first premiere on Disney+ and Disney Junior in 2023 in conjunction with the May 4 celebrations.
Young Jedi Adventures explores the iconic High Republic era, focusing on Jedi younglings who learn about fundamental principles like friendship and teamwork. It is a television series designed for the youngest fans of Star Wars.
Voice talent for this project includes Jamaal Avery Jr., Jecobi Swain, Emma Berman, Juliet Donenfeld, and Dee Bradley Baker. It finished with a record-breaking 25 episodes in its inaugural season.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3
On January 22, Star Wars released the first official teaser for Star Wars: The Bad Batch’s third and final season, which will debut the first three episodes on February 21.
The teaser promised plenty of action for Clone Force 99 in this new season as the gang must save Omega from the clutches of the Empire, confirming the return of longtime cartoon villain Asajj Ventress.
Back to voice all five of the titular Bad Batch members is Dee Bradley Baker, who will be joined by Michelle Ang, Wanda Sykes, and Ming-Na Wen.
